A sophomore studying Computer Science at St. John's, learning the craft from the fundamentals up.

Most of what I enjoy about this field sits in the gap between an idea and something you can actually click. I like the part where a rough sketch turns into working structure — data models that make sense, interfaces that feel obvious, and code that a future reader can follow without a map.

Right now I'm deep in coursework and personal projects: algorithms and data structures, systems-level work in C++, and web development on the side because it's the fastest way to put something real in front of people.

Outside of assignments, I'm usually rebuilding something I've already built, just smaller and cleaner than the last attempt — or automating something I'd rather not do by hand, like digging through internship postings.

Languages

C++, Python, Java, JavaScript. Comfortable close to the metal and comfortable in the browser.

Fundamentals

Data structures, algorithms, complexity, memory. The parts that stay true no matter the framework.

Web

Semantic HTML, modern CSS, vanilla JavaScript. Interfaces that load fast and behave predictably.

Tooling

Git and GitHub, the command line, VS Code. Version everything, automate the boring parts.

AI automation

I put Claude to work on the internship search: it reads my resume, finds openings that genuinely line up with what I know, and comes back with a short list and the reason each one fits. What used to be an evening of open tabs is now a prompt — so the time goes into the applications instead of the hunting.
